A dedicated 30-year veteran of the organic fresh produce industry, Matt Seeley is the co-founder and CEO of the Organic Produce Network (OPN), which launched in January 2017. OPN grew out of the success of the first Organic Produce Summit in 2016 – a first-year sell out event -- which Matt founded with the help of a group of equally passionate volunteers.
  Coming back to media and events is a career full-circle for Matt. His career started in the fresh produce industry on the media side: in 1983 he joined the staff of The Packer, one of the leading sources for produce-related news, and in 1985, he became editor of the Fresh Produce Council Digest, the official publication of the Fresh Produce and Floral Council. 
  In 1987, Matt joined The Nunes Company as marketing manager, where he spearheaded the Foxy Brand’s entry into the growing market for organic produce. His success earned him the role of vice president for marketing and brand management at the company, which now offers more than 30 organic products.

Kevin Barry graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1976 with a BA in Economics. He worked essentially in Produce from 1979 until 1988 for Star Market out of Cambridge Mass. and Jewell Food Stores in Chicago. In 1991, Kevin became a Produce Buyer at Star Market, and then promoted to Senior Produce Buyer at Star in 1997. He began with Big Y Foods of Springfield, Mass in 1999 as Senior Produce Buyer. In 2010 he was promoted to his current position of Director of Produce and Floral.

Mark Jewell, Category Manager of Produce and Floral, Hannaford Supermarkets. Mark will be celebrating his 36th year with Hannaford this coming May. Prior to his current position Mark has held many roles with the Company, some including: Category Manager of Deli, Produce Buyer, Meat Buyer, Retail Specialist and Store Manager. Mark’s passion is Produce and enjoys the fast pace, unpredictability of the Produce Industry. Mark is a current Board member on the New England Produce Council. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family at their camp on Stanley Pond in Hiram, Maine.
